Within the national park, this lodge is constructed of massive timbers and blends well into the thick rain forest surrounding it on three sides. The modern yet rustic rooms are accessible by boardwalks. If it swims or crawls in the sea hereabouts, you'll find it on the menu in the dining room, which is open to nonlodge guests as well. Activities include whale-watching, kayaking, naturalist-led hikes, and tours of Glacier Bay. The Lodge pushes package reservations, which include all meals, transfers, and a boat tour of Glacier Bay on your first day.
