Water's Edge Bed & Breakfast

Fodor's Review:

Along the shore of Frederick Sound 2 mi north of Petersburg, this family-run B&B offers one creek- and one beachside room. Seals, eagles, deer, and whales are often seen just outside the door. A substantial Continental breakfast is served, and the small library is stocked with books on Alaska and natural history. Take advantage of the owners' Kaleidoscope Cruises—lodging-cruise packages are available—or borrow bikes to explore on your own.
