Chief Shakes Island
Chief Shakes Island Review
This small island sits in the center of Wrangell's protected harbor, and is accessible by a footbridge from the bottom of Shakes Street. Seven totem poles surround a traditionally styled tribal house, built in the 1930s as a replica of one that was home to many of the various Shakes and their peoples.
