Fodor's Review

This noisy but comfortable, old-fashioned downtown hotel was built in 1939. A 2006 fire destroyed about half of the original building, but the hotel has been restored. Walls are thin and rooms are fairly spartan—no coffeepots, microwaves, hair dryers, writing desks, closet space, and so on—but the price is right. A pub-style lounge, Victoria's Pour House, provides a comfy place to relax, and Victoria's Restaurant opens early (4:30 am in summer) to feed the charter-fishing

crowd. Check bedding accommodations when making a reservation, as some rooms feature twin beds.
