The bay windows of this fine-dining restaurant, 13 mi south of the park entrance atop a forested hillside, offer a panoramic view of the surrounding Alaska Range foothills. The Perch serves breakfast and dinner, featuring home-baked breads and desserts along with steak and seafood; don't miss the all-you-can-eat wild Alaska salmon dinner. Next door, the Panorama Pizza Pub (907/683-26233 www.panoramapizzapub.com) serves hand-tossed brick-oven pizzas, along with soups and sandwiches for dinner and fine Alaskan microbrews. Live music Wednesday—Saturday nights, 5 pm-midnight. Cabin rentals, with creekside and mountain views, are available May-September (starting at $85, with breakfast included), as is complimentary shuttle service for diners and overnighters.
