About 2 mi south of the village, this restaurant is a local favorite as much for its cozy, unpretentious dining room (complete with stone fireplace) as for its great seafood. If deciding on only one item is hard, why not go for the samplers: the Rim Rock Trio combines sea bass in an almond-ginger crust, grilled prawns, and rare ahi tuna marinated in soya, sake, and mirin. If you want a booth or a coveted table near the fireplace, make a reservation. The café closes for roughly a month every fall, so call ahead.

Tried all of the top restaurants in Whistler and Rim Rock remains our favourite. Great buzz, great service (even produced spectacles for the member of our party who had forgotten hers) and most importantly, great food. Highly recommended.

Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, amazing food. The seafood sampler is incredible and the wild game; caribou, elk et al are prepared perfectly! We always call before we arrive in Whistler, as it can be sold out for a week.
