Fodor's Review:

This little riverside café, part of Duncan's Quw'utsun' Cultural and Conference Centre, offers a rare opportunity to try traditional B.C. First Nations fare. All meals start with warm fried bread with blackberry jam and salmon spread. From there, the menu offers both the familiar (salads, burgers, and fish-and-chips made with salmon) and the more unusual: venison in blackberry-mint sauce, elk escalope on baby spinach greens, or a slow-cooked stew of surf clams, salmon, halibut, and vegetables. For a treat, try the Me'Hwulp, a Salish afternoon tea for two, with candied salmon, blue-crab cakes, blackberry tarts, and more -- all served on a cedar platter. A kids' menu and river-view patio in a parklike setting make this a pleasant family spot.
