For a complete listing of emergency services, you can always check the Yellow Pages or ask for assistance at your hotel desk. The Dental Emergency Service operates from 8 AM to midnight. Many Pharma Plus Drugmarts are open until midnight; some branches of Shoppers Drug Mart are open 24 hours.

All international embassies are in Ottawa; there are some consulates in Toronto. The Consulate General of the United States does not permit food, cell phones, pagers, personal organizers, tape recorders, cameras, or other electronic devices in its building. There is no storage for these items, so do not bring any of them with you.
