$$$$, French, Downtown
Fodor's Review:
Enter through the Easy, a main-floor dance club, and take a freight elevator to the Fifth, a semiprivate dining club and loft space with the right balance of formality and flirtation. The mood is industrial-strength romantic. In winter, sit on a sofa in front of a huge fireplace; in summer, dine on a gazebo terrace. Entrées include steak, black cod, roasted chicken, and rack of lamb. You could also make a meal of a selection of intriguing sides such as mahogany and basmati rice with caramelized onions.
