$$$-$$$$, Modern Canadian, Financial District
Fodor's Review:
It's the new face of fine dining, relaxed and approachable with energy and warmth. The recent reno of this 10-year-old stalwart features oversized hanging lampshades, flattering lighting, banquettes, and a color scheme that's all black and camel -- very New York. As for the food, chef Gordon Mackie has focused on fancified comfort classics that are stealing Bay Street hearts, like lobster pot pie, homey fondue hit with truffle, and a snappy horizontal salad of Niagara prosciutto, arugula and oven-dried tomatoes on a dense Parmesan foam. There are gourmet s'mores for dessert.
