$$$$, Modern Canadian, Financial District
Fodor's Review:
Wood, glass, and water create drama in a space anchored by a 5,000-bottle wine "cellar" inside a two-story glass column. The menu offers delectability and perfection: poached sea scallops with seared foie gras, crème fraîche, and sake beurre blanc; an 8-ounce burger with molten Brie de Meaux and grilled porcini. The bar one floor up oozes extreme comfort and has a good view of architect Mies van der Rohe's TD Centre Plaza. The service matches the food, and in summer, patio tippling and dining are dreamy.
