The only remaining commercial fisherman on the island smokes his catch and sells it from a tiny shack. You can sample some very tasty smoked eel as well as smoked trout and salmon. Also available are fresh and smoked walleye pike and sturgeon, all from the St. Lawrence River. Other products include a sturgeon mousse and the rare sturgeon méchoui: the fish is marinated in salt the traditional way, and then roasted on a spit. You can organize fishing trips here too.
