When to Go

Winter is formidable, but the city stays alive—especially during the popular Winter Carnival. Spring is short and sweet with the cabanes à sucre (sugar shacks) bringing fresh maple goodies. In summer, the city's terraces and courtyards open and everyone comes out to enjoy the sunshine. In late September and early October, the region's foliage blazes with color.
