The Québec-Lévis ferry crosses the St. Lawrence River to the town of Lévis and gives you a magnificent panorama of Old Québec. Although the crossing takes 15 minutes, waiting time can increase the trip to an hour. The cost is C$2.65. The first ferry from Québec City leaves daily at 6:30 AM from the pier at rue Dalhousie, opposite Place Royale. Crossings run every half hour from 7:30 AM until 6:30 PM, then hourly until 2:30 AM. From April through November the ferry adds extra service every 10 to 20 minutes during rush hours (7-10 AM and 3-6:45 PM). Schedules can change, so be sure to check the ferry Web site or call ahead.
