Hôtel Belley Review
Modern artwork by local artists is everywhere in this modest little hotel up the stairs above Belley Tavern, a stone's throw from the train station, Marché du Vieux-Port, and the antiques district. Built as a private home around 1842, the building has housed various taverns since 1868. The current hotel opened in 1987. Rooms are simple, with exposed brick walls and beamed ceilings. Bathrooms have showers but no tubs. Downstairs, the old-fashioned tin ceilings and modern furniture attract a café crowd.
