This turn-of-the-20th-century structure just outside the St-Jean Gate is a fancy hotel, an Italian bistro, and a 1920s cabaret-style dinner theater (the Théâtre Capitole) all rolled into one; art deco furnishings fill the small, simple rooms. Painted ceilings have a blue-and-white sky motif, and white down-filled comforters dress the beds. The showbiz theme, with stars on the doors, has attracted Québec celebrities, including Céline Dion.
