Le Café Krieghoff

Le Café Krieghoff Review

Modeled after a typical Paris bistro and named for a Canadian painter who lived just up the street (and whose prints hang on the walls), this busy, noisy restaurant with patios in front and back is a popular place with the locals. Open every day from 7 am to midnight, Krieghoff serves specialties that include salmon, quiche, "la Toulouse" (big French sausage with sauerkraut), steak with french fries, boudin (pig-blood sausage), and "la Bavette" (a French-style minute steak). This place is a big local literary hangout, with great coffee, tea, and desserts. There's a seven-room auberge upstairs catering to upscale families.
