What a facade! "Hayden's Wexford House" is stenciled on the outside brick wall, over the B&B's signature green doors and flower planters. Inside, the lobby is homey and warm, with two residential cats to greet guests.

Getting Around

The B&B is proud to offer free parking in a nearby lot, just steps away. Once your car is parked, you can walk around Lower Town, Upper Town, and to all of the major tourist attractions.

Restaurants

Experience local French cuisine at Lapin Sauté (12-minute walk), where they serve rabbit, fish, and other French dishes. For blood pudding, duck confit and tartars, try L'Échaudé (15-minute walk). Both are casual and reasonably-priced eateries.

Bars

Bistrot Pape Georges (10-minute walk) is a small Lower Town haunt for locals who like live music, while Pub St. Alexandre (15-minute walk) in Upper Town is a famous hot-spot for young people sharing pitchers of beer.

WHY WE LIKE IT

It's all about the genial hosts. With only three guest rooms to tend, hosts Sylvie and Jacques take the time to make everyone welcome. They answer questions and provide insider tips. Plus, guests get a discounted hot-air balloon ride with Jacques, a balloon pilot. We love the free parking and the B&B's garden, with a bench, flowers, and fountain. While there isn't a lot of privacy outside the bedrooms, this B&B is perfect for those who want to meet their hosts and enjoy good company.
