Fodor's Expert Review Portus Calle
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
A sunny decor greets you at this fabulous Portuguese restaurant. The many petiscos (tapas) such as caldo verde soup (traditional potato and kale soup), chorizo (pork) sausage, or a grilled seafood platter for two encourage sharing and tasting. The house specializes in fish and seafood, which are served tapas-style or as main meals. It's hard to go wrong at Portus Calle when the ingredients are top quality: fresh fish arrives daily and vegetables are local and market-fresh. If you're an aficionado, the selection of more than 7,000 well-chosen Portuguese wines and ports is impressive.
