Fodor's Review

Montréal's grandest hotel, in the Golden Square Mile, was extensively renovated in 2012, but preserved important elements—the Palm Court (now housing a Dom Perignon bar), the Oval Room, the garden—alongside additions like a Daniel Boulud restaurant and an infinity pool. Bigger rooms and suites were also added, all with unsurpassed comfort. In the bathrooms, the floors and towel racks are heated, the tubs are extra deep, the Japanese toilets double as bidets, the mirrors

de-fog, and floor lights automatically guide you there in the middle of the night. Gleaming hardwood floors are to be expected, but who could predict playful touches made from wine-coloured faux crocodile skin? The Maison Boulud open-concept restaurant utilizes local artisan products in its French cuisine, and also serves brunch on weekends.
