Fodor's Expert Review Osteria Venti
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
Authentic regional Italian cuisine comes to life at this restaurant, housed in a rustic 200-year-old building on a cobblestone street in historic Old Montréal. You can enjoy delicious dishes from the comfort of your table or take a seat at the bar facing the open kitchen and watch the action. The menu, which features homemade options like ricotta gnocchi, or a juicy porchetta, will not disappoint. All the pastas are homemade and if the spaghetti al nero di seppia (spaghetti with squid ink and seafood) is on the menu, you're in luck. Be sure to leave room for dessert; the Venti tiramisu is always an excellent finale.
