Montreal Nightlife

Baldwin Barmacie

Updated 08/12/2014

Fodor's Review

Co-owner Alexandre Baldwin named the bar not only after the tiny pharmacy that once occupied this building but also after his grandmother, who worked there—her portrait hangs on the creamy white wall and the downstairs area retains some features from those days. Drinks are served in old-fashioned syrup bottles and milk jugs, and chairs made from scotch barrels add rustic charm. You can sip on a refreshing bourbon punch (there's a great selection of whisky here) as you peruse the menu, which includes some upscale comfort foods—the grilled cheese is delectable.
