Chao Phraya
Chao Phraya Review
The huge front window of this bright, airy restaurant overlooks fashionable rue Laurier, where Québec television stars amble by at regular intervals. Inside, it's sexier than ever, with new red walls and intimate seating. Customers come for such classics as crispy spinach, chicken with peanut sauce, crunchy poe pia (tightly wrapped spring rolls), pha koung (grilled-shrimp salad), and tilapia sautéed in three-flavored sauce. For Thai food, it's a bit pricey, but reliable.
