Toqué! Review

Toqué is slang for "just a little stubborn," as in Chef Normand Laprise's insistence on using fresh, local ingredients from the best providers. Located on the ground floor of a glass tower, this celebrated bastion of fine dining attracts government rainmakers and the expense-account crowd. The menu changes daily, depending on what Laprise finds at the market, but foie gras, duck, and wild venison are staples. Some clients wouldn't consider ordering anything but the seven-course tasting menu. Chitchat at the tables revolves around Laprise's latest award and how lucky everyone is to have gotten a reservation. You can also eat at the quartz bar, sitting on the comfy bar stools.

    Overrated and overpriced

Toque simply doesn't live up to the hype and there are other places where the food, ambience and value are a better choice.

    Over rated and over priced

Way too expensive and size of the portions is ridiculous. Rack of lamb at $60.00 for three tiny ribs. Cheese by the gram, they must be kidding.
    Will not repeat.

    Overated!

The waiters are stiff (they wear StarTreck like uniforms)and not very polite. I guess they try so hard to be proper that they become anoying. As a French person and a good cook, I can do much better at home and under $500.00 (for 4 ) with wine! The decor is 70's and boring! Will not go by or recommend.
