Le Lab Review
Fabien Maillard is Montréal's mixologist extraordinaire, and the name of his unpretentious bar is entirely apt. Creating cocktails is his passion, shared by the friendly, skilled staff, and with potent potions—including a $28 Zombie loaded with liquor—inspired by everything from old, classic recipes to the fruits of the season (the $13 Threesome with fresh raspberry, blackberry, and strawberry purées, for example), there's something for every palate. The entire menu changes twice a year and specials change monthly. Call to reserve on weekends; its packed despite being off the beaten track.
