Club Chasse et Pêche

Club Chasse et Pêche Review

Don't fret—this isn't a hangout for the local gun-and-rod set. The name—which means Hunting and Fishing Club—is an ironic reference to the wood-and-leather decor Chef Claude Pelletier and co-owner Hubert Marsolais inherited from the previous owners. Marsolais has jazzed it up, though, to reflect his innovative style, but the entrance is still one of the most discrete in town. Impeccable service has made this a favorite with the city's serious foodies. They sip glasses of German and Austrian Riesling on the covered terrace, set in a garden across the street at the Château Ramezay. Try Pelletier's seared scallops, the seared foie gras, or suckling piglet with risotto. Sommelier Philippe Boisvert will suggest a magnificent wine paring, while the pastry chef wows the crowd with her coconut sorbet and white truffle honey.
