Tavern on the Square
Tavern on the Square Review
Happy chat and goodwill fills this easygoing bistro, where owner-chef Steven Leslie pleases everyone from business moguls and media personalities to grandmas. The corporate crowd sips martinis at the bar, while well-dressed young families entertain their toddlers on the terrace. The daytime clientele is devoted to the tangy salads, spicy tuna burgers, and fresh pastas, while the evening crowd comes for updated Italian classics like "mac 'n' cheese" with bacon and bread crumbs, rigatoni with meatballs, or the daily fish special. There are plenty of private-import wines available by the glass. Leave room for dessert.
