Fodor's Review:

Throughout the 1990s this busy no-frills Plateau nightspot, the former workplace of Hole bassist and celebrated local luminary Melissa Auf der Maur, was the center of the indie music scene and a choice location for those looking to mingle with visiting rock stars. Although not quite as vibrant as it was in its heyday, the Bif, as it's often referred to, still packs 'em in most nights with a clientele comprised of beer-guzzling university students and local rock musicians.
