Hôtel Opus Review

One of the chicest and sleekest hotels on St-Laurent, the Opus is across the street from such hot spots as Globe and Med Grill. International jet-setters love the uncompromisingly modern interior—exposed concrete ceilings, iPod docking stations, tile floors, and stainless-steel furnishings with splashes of vibrant reds, greens, and oranges. The result could be called minimalist-plus. A popular perk among Java connoisseurs is the Keurig coffee machine in each room. Gen Xers love the PlayStations and Xboxes, available on request. Outside, the hotel's exterior is striking: one half is an art-nouveau classic from 1914; the other is a brick-and-concrete contemporary completed in 2004. Knowing hipsters head up to the Koko terrace restaurant and bar to lounge on low sofas and sip the Opus 136 martini, made with passion fruit.
