Maison Smith

Fodor's Review:

If you need a map of Mont-Royal's extensive hiking trails or want to know about the more than 150 kinds of birds here, the old park keeper's residence is the place to go. It's also a good for getting a snack, drink, or souvenir. The pretty little stone house—built in 1858—is the headquarters of Les Amis de la Montagne (The Friends of the Mountain), an organization that offers various guided walks on the mountain and in nearby areas.
