Cavalli
Cavalli Review
The young and the beautiful like to sip cocktails by Cavalli's big front window, which in summer is open to the passing scene on busy rue Peel. The interior—a black illuminated bar, green and pink velvet chairs, and blond-wood paneling—makes an enticing backdrop. The food is Italian, mostly, with Asian influences. Chef Frank Gioffre marinates the Chilean sea bass in miso and serves his mac 'n' cheese with truffles. Models order the endive salad, but heartier eaters love the scallops wrapped in bacon or the rack of fresh Australian lamb.
