Fodor's Review:

The Hyatt is the place to stay during the International Jazz Festival in July—if you're a fan, that is. The 12-story hotel, built at the northern end of Complexe Desjardins shopping mall, overlooks the Place des Arts plaza where most of the festival's free concerts are staged. It's a good location the rest of the year, too. The Musée d'Art Contemporain is across the street and Chinatown is a block away (you can walk to both via the Underground City if it's raining) and the restaurants of rue St-Denis and boulevard St-Laurent are within walking distance. Pros : great location for shoppers and concert-lovers, and good access to the Underground City. Cons : tired décor; lackluster service.
