A family-run restaurant for three generations, La Maison Kam Fung is synonymous with dim sum in Montreal. This is the place to come for a noisy dim sum feast where waiters clatter up and down the aisles between tables, pushing a parade of trolleys bearing such treats as firm dumplings stuffed with pork and chicken, and stir-fried squid and shrimp. There are 300 dim sum available, of which 60 are on rotation on any given day. The best way to order is to stop one of the
carts as it's going by and point to the dishes you'd like. You can order from a menu, too, but that's not as much fun. In the evening you can order Cantonese and Szechuan dishes until 10 pm. And good news: the Peking duck doesn't require advance notice.
