Hôtel St. Paul Review

Stark white walls and huge shuttered windows give the "sky rooms" in this converted 19th-century office building in Old Montréal a light, ethereal feel. The "earth rooms" are decorated in richer, darker colors. All have separate sitting areas with sleek leather furniture. There's no danger of being horrified by busy paintings on the walls, because the St. Paul keeps the focus on its silk, stone, and raw-metal decor accents. Repeat customers, including A-listers like Cate Blanchett and Kirsten Dunst, appreciate the panoramic views of the Old Port's architecture and the hotel's overall serenity.
