Fodor's Review

This quaint neighborhood restaurant has a bit of a split personality: on the one side, a softly lit dining room for more intimacy and on the other, the more raucous tavern with guitar music, and if you're lucky, a friendly argument about sports or politics. Food-wise, it doesn't really matter where you sit: the chicken, sardines, grouper, and squid—all broiled à-la-Portugaise, on an open charcoal grill behind the bar—are succulent, simple, and delicious. Good prices

attract artists as well as university kids with visiting parents.
