The Schkolnick family have been serving breakfast and lunch at this Montreal landmark since 1942 and on weekends the line out front can be daunting. The decor hasn't changed much over the years, but you come here for the food. Classic dishes include the Mish Mash omelet, with sliced hot dogs, salami, green peppers, and fried onions; and the Superbeautys 2 with two eggs, pancakes, bacon and sausage, home fries, and a toasted bagel. The challah French toast is also popular, and the Beauty's Special—bagel, lox, and cream cheese—is a classic. Hyman, the original owner, is now in his 90s but still sits at the bar to direct patrons to their seats.
