Fodor's Review

Forget fussy oil paintings or rococo furniture—behind its 19th-century facade, the St. Paul keeps the focus on modern silk, stone, and raw-metal accents, much admired by its fashionable guests, who rave about the serenity and panoramic Old Port views. Stark white walls and huge shuttered windows give the "sky rooms" in this converted office building a light, ethereal feel. All have separate sitting areas with sleek leather furniture. Now there's an airy new restaurant in the lobby with a glassed-in ham cellar. Pity the lobby hasn't been updated; it's time.
