Fodor's Review:

Once again, in 2007 the Auberge was listed on Condé Nast Traveler's Gold List, and has joined the prestigious Relais & Châteaux chain. On the site of a 19th-century maritime warehouse, this charming hotel incorporates the historic stone walls of the old building along with artifacts dating to the 1600s, many of which are encased in glass displays in the public areas and guest rooms. Antiques and contemporary pieces fill the bedrooms, some with fireplaces, hot tubs, large terraces, or river views. A few rooms have themes, such as the Capitaine, decorated as a ship-captain's quarters, the Victorian, or the Garden. Guests can enjoy movie screenings at Cinéma St-Antoine. Two classic movies are shown each night, one in English and one in French, both subtitled, at 6 and 8 PM. Panache, the hotel's restaurant, serves fine, updated French-Canadian fare in a rustic setting.

A Wonderful Experience

Posted by Frequent_Traveller from Atlanta on 6/3/07
We started off our trip to the Province of Quebec in Quebec City. We requested a contemporary room with a water view and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. While the room was not particularly large and the closet smaller, the bathroom was enormous. The in-room espresso maker was a nice touch and used every day. The public areas of the hotel are beautiful and serene. We had a delicious duck dinner at Panache. (If you love Parisian-style macaroons, go to the Paillard Bakery in the Haute Ville.) We will definitely return to this wonderful hotel.

Un grand hotel!

We just came back for a 4 day stay at the Auberge St. Antoine and we loved it and cannot wait to go back. We stayed in one of the suite thematique (the captain room). My son who is 10 loved it; it was like staying on a boat. The service was incredible. We ate at their restaurant Le Panache which decor and food is excellent (pricey) A memorable evening. A wonderful trip. We highly recommend this hotel, a bit expensive but you receive the best in quality and service.
