Victoria Village Inn and Restaurant Review

Guest rooms in this three-story Victorian—built for a sea captain in the 1880s—are rather basic in terms of decor. But they have lovely "bones" (note the original plank floors and tall sash windows). They also have an ideal setting because the Victoria Playhouse is next door. A full breakfast, which is included in the rate, showcases the culinary skill of owner Stephen Hunter. An accomplished chef, he also prepares dinners in the intimate main floor restaurant ($$$). Expect a seasonally inspired menu that melds the classic with the contemporary.
