Fodor's Expert Review Shipwright Inn B&B

51 Fitzroy St., Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, C1A 1R4, Canada

The name of this cottage-y 1860s inn is a nod to the first owner's occupation, and its charming accommodations further attest to his seafaring ways (the Captain's Quarters, the Navigator's Retreat---you get the picture). A nautical motif is highlighted throughout. Several rooms, for instance, have original floors made from marine-grade pine planks, and ship-themed memorabilia is prominently displayed. The sustaining four-course breakfast and afternoon tea (both free) are memorable. Ditto for the friendly hosts. For extra-special stays, ask about the romance and golf packages.
