Fox Meadow Golf and Country Club. This club is a mere five minutes southeast of the city and is a challenging championship course, designed by Rob Heaslip. In a delightful rural landscape, it overlooks Charlottetown Harbour and the community of Stratford, and, apparently, it lives up to its name—resident foxes have been known to steal golf balls in play (which can be replaced without penalty). 167 Kinlock Rd., Stratford, Prince Edward Island, C1B 1J7. 902/569–4653; 877/569–8337; www.foxmeadow.pe.ca. C$60–C$80, or C$80–C$95 to play all day.
