InterContinental Toronto Yorkville

Fodor's Review:

This handsome and intimate member of a respected international hotel chain, which underwent a soft renovation in 2006, is a two-minute walk from the Yorkville shopping area. Service is top-notch. Art deco touches enhance the public areas and the spacious guest rooms. Signatures Restaurant is elegant and comfortably classic, and its patio, SkyLounge, has breezy alfresco dining in season. Relax in the club-like opulence of the Proof Bar: it's perfect for noshes, tea, or a cocktail with one of 50 brands of vodkas. Pros: across from newly refurbished Royal Ontario and Gardiner Museums, knowledgeable concierges, ultra-cool lobby bar. Cons: construction in neighborhood, very youthful staff.
