Gladstone Hotel

Fodor's Review:

In a restored Edwardian hotel, the Gladstone draws a young, arty-but-stylish crowd who appreciates the karaoke (Thursdays and Saturdays), the Hump Day Bump queer night on Wednesday, sketch comedy on Friday, and the indie, jazz, or bluegrass bands, spoken word, and art shows. The ballroom café is the main space, with tall ceilings, exposed brick walls, and a long dark-wood bar—dinner is served until 9 PM. The Melody Bar hosts karaoke and bands. The tiny Art Bar has exhibitions, performances, and private events.

  • Metro: 510 Queen West streetcar to Dufferin St.
