Sophisticated yet warm, this special occasion eatery serves contemporary cuisine grounded in authentic French flavors. Appetizers include thyme-roasted sweetbreads with lentil ragout, foie gras torchon, and the signature spaghettini with Perigord Black Gold truffle foam. Entrées such as pepper-seared loin of venison and truffled honey squab breast are pleasures for the palate. Superb wine matchings and an enviable cheese list make for a languid evening of fine dining.

Exquisite food -- don't miss the spaghettini with truffle foam, which is worth a trip to Toronto all by itself. And the potato-encrusted halibut is light, the coating crispy and the taste divine. The service is exemplary -- from everyone, beginning with the person who took my last-minute reservation by phone. No condescension. Knowledgeable, with a sense of humour, and friendly. If you love food, love wine, want a meal you'll remember, this is the place to come. It was one of the top 5 meals I have had, and I am passionate about good food.
