Chef Wandee Young impressed Toronto's taste buds when she launched Canada's first Thai restaurant in 1980. Her gently spiced authentic staples are just as delicious now. Within the open dining room with white walls and black accents and small Thai decorations, you can order from a traditional menu of chicken satay with peanut sauce, Thai-spiced calamari with sweet chili, and refreshing salad rolls are a nice start. Move on to zingy lemon chicken soup and shared mains like green mango salad, red-curry beef, spicy basil chicken, and Thai-style eggplant. It's pretty hard to order wrong here.

We went to the new, larger restaurant that just opened. We were treated like family; we met Sassi, the cook and co-owner of the restaurant, as well as her husband Allan. They both spent a lot of time with us making sure that the food was good and asking about our Toronto trip. The food was amazing--the best that we have ever had. I like my food extra hot and spicy but my boyfriend is more of a medium hot kind of guy. They cooked both meals perfectly
to our individual spice preferences and they also provided some fabulous hot sauces. The next time we are in Toronto we will definitly go back!
