Global Village Backpackers

Fodor's Review:

Formerly known as the Spadina Hotel, this hostel is centrally located and filled with international students seeing the world. It's friendly, with a lounge, patio, and bar on premises. Clean linen and towels are supplied at check-in, and the welcoming staff know the city and are great resources. The airport express shuttle drops you two blocks from the hostel. Dorms sleep 6, 10, or 14, but most rooms are quads, sleeping 4, with shared bathrooms. There are six private rooms with double beds in each. Pros: weekly and cheaper Internet rates available, bar has live music, free pancake breakfast. Cons: some groups may be noisy, on western edge of Entertainment District, must have valid hostelling international ID card for low rates.

  • Hotel Details: 30 rooms with 190 beds
  • In-hotel: bar, laundry facilities, Internet terminal.
  • Credit Cards: MC, V
  • Metro: St. Andrew
