The Drake Hotel

Fodor's Review:

Talk about so hip it hurts. This is not divey hipster, however—it's high-style. The Underground, downstairs, fills up every night with young, artsy types here for the indie bands. At the "mash-up" night, members of bands such as the Hidden Cameras and Barcelona Pavilion perform in homemade rock operas. The sound system is great, and the stark walls are usually decorated with art or projections. At the main-floor Drake Lounge, young scenesters sip cocktails and order snacks or dinner.

  • Metro: 501 Queen streetcar to Dufferin St.
