The biggest names in folk, bluegrass, and blues music love to play this venue because the audiences here love to listen. The supperclub-like venue has a full menu at cabaret-style tables, but it's the intimate performances, not the mediocre food, that are the draw. Many shows sell out, so book early. The best tables are reserved for those who make dinner reservations. But if the only dinner tables left are numbers 30 or higher, you're better off just buying a ticket and arriving at least an hour early to snag one of the bar tables to the left when you enter the room—they're on a raised platform and have better views than the back-of-the-room dinner tables. Acoustics are not the greatest, and the bar in back can get noisy during performances.
