On the 54th floor of the Toronto Dominion Centre, Canoe is known for its panoramic view of the lake, stellar food (most of the huge room is a restaurant), and possibly the city's best Niagara Valley wine selection. Beyond Canadian wines, there's an extensive selection of international bottles, in addition to cocktails and beer. You can spend as much as C$2,500 a bottle on wine, but plenty are in the C$40-C$60 range; wines by the glass start at C$10. The appetizer menu includes bar bites such as octopus and fiddlehead salad and red chili calamari. This spot is popular with brokers and financial wizards from the neighboring towers, who suit the swank surroundings. Go just before sunset to get the most of the view.
