Carnivores will revel in the full-on meat menu at Beast Restaurant where chef Scott Vivian serves up dishes such as succulent pork hocks with kimchi and candied peanuts or buttery marrow with parsley, horseradish, and housemade bread. The dining room's centaur paintings are a little odd, but the decor is secondary to what's on the plate: all sourced locally and made in-house. Brunch-goers can kick off their meal appropriately with maple-bacon donuts. And every Friday at noon "the Beastwich" take-out lunch special is served with a side and dessert for $10 cash. Get there on time; it sells out within the hour.
